The need for partners
Throughout history, the partnership of believers has been God's plan for bringing new people into His Kingdom. Luke 8:1-3 describes how Jesus and the disciples had a 'support team', who "were helping to support them out of their own means."Similarly, my partnership with interested Christ-focused individuals like yourself will enable me to focus my efforts into full-time evangelistic ministry and allow us together to do far more than we could accomplish on our own.
How can you be involved?
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few" (Matthew 9:37, Luke 10:2)
There are three ways that I am trusting God for ministry partners to come along side me in my ministry with TruthMedia (see me on the TruthMedia staff list here!):
- Prayer, which is of course absolutely essential to all ministry.
- New partners who would have a similar heart for this kind of ministry.
- Monthly financial support, enabling me to work in this ministry full-time.
How does financial support work?
All full-time staff of Campus Crusade International (including Power to Change & TruthMedia) are employed on a missionary model, where staff are financially supported by a team of individuals and groups as ministry partners. This model has allowed Campus Crusade to grow to become the largest parachurch organization in the world with over 28,000 full-time staff! (View our statement of faith.)
When someone supports my ministry financially the funds go to Power to Change into an account designated for me and also cover all related expenses. These funds cover all of my ministry expenses including:
- My salary & living expenses
- Training costs (new staff training, staff conference, ministry-specific training)
- Ministry expenses (ex. office supplies, technology, communications, etc)
- Medical / dental benefits
- Central operating (overhead) costs to employ me
- Essentially partner funds cover the full cost of having me on staff!
So the question is ...
The question for you to think and pray about:Will you financially partner with me for $100, $50, or another monthly amount that you feel comfortable with?
"Remember this - a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully." (2 Corinthians 9:6,7)
My commitment to you is to be an ambassador for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20): To have accurate knowledge, the wisdom to convey that knowledge in an appropriate and winsome manner, and the character to be an effective witness for Christ as I work as part of the TruthMedia ministry team.
